is uchicago really better than HYPSM for chicago banking?

If someone has no interest in nyc and wants to exclusively recruit for chicago firms (bc money goes WAY further) is uchicago seriously better than HYPSM schools?

Reasoning is stupid your going to make a lot more money (on average) on the HYPSM -> NYC IB track then a UCHIC --> CHI IB track and grow ur network far more

I always hear that you can make a lot more money being in NYC than Chi on avg, but I'm curious why being in NYC allows you to make a lot more money. Is it purely due to exit opps?

My EB recruited exclusively from Chicago/Northwestern/Notre Dame. But I think the BBs in Chicago recruit from everywhere. Also, you can literally get looks anywhere from HYPSM...

HYPSM is the gold standard for NYC and Chicago. UChicago/Northwestern are gold for Chicago. HYPSM will serve you better overall, but for Chicago, UChicago/Northwestern will be around the same tier.
