Is Villanova a target school for investment banking?

I mean it’s finance program is ranked very high and it’s location is nice (just outside Philly and close to DC or NYC). I’m sure the alumni network is pretty big no? Unsure. Let me know what you guys think.

Villanova is not a target school for IB. However, that doesn’t mean that it’s impossible to break into IB from there, especially if you network really hard and try to build connections ahead of recruiting season. I’ve crossed paths with two people in IB who went to Villanova (again, that’s outweighed by dozens of Wharton/Harvard/UMich people, but it CAN happen)

Funniest

Only a Rosshole would lump Michigan in with Harvard and Wharton

For what it’s worth, I went to MIT, so I really don’t have any sort of allegiance to any of the schools I mentioned. The fact is there are a ton of UMich people in high finance, and it’s definitely one of the schools I’ve come across the most in my career so far. Not saying that UMich is as “prestigious” or whatever as Harvard or Wharton, but to say it’s underrepresented numbers-wise in IB is inaccurate and shows you’re a college student who’s a bit out of touch with reality
