Ivy League to IB as international

Dear Community,

I will enroll in a Ivy League university as a french national beginning September. I really want to pursue a career in IB or PE, but right now I am concerned as for the issue with the Visa?

With the F1 Visa, will it be possible for me to get internships in New York (or other places?Where possibly next?) at tier1 banks (MS,GS, JPM) or PE funds (KKR, TPG)? Will I be able to work for them afterwards?

Many thanks for your help as I am currently a bit lost and not absolutely sure whether to make the step across the atlantic.
