hi i received offer from JEF for full-time analyst starting in 2013. i accepted offer and have signed paperwork, but not yet received info about background check or references.
when does JEF hr send this information? do they outsource background check? if anyone who has been thru background check process with JEF can comment, would be greatly appreciated.
please advise. thx.

i don't know for jefferies specifically but i'm guessing they outsource it. you probably won't hear back if everything checked out fine. my guess is they sent your info out and got a report back within a 2 week turnaround. if it's been that long and you haven't heard anything i'd say all systems are go. if you want to follow up with your HR rep you can just say how you wanted to see how the whole onboarding process was going and if there was anything further you needed to do.

Yeah, I was under the impression that background checks were done ~1 month prior to an analyst/SA starting their position.
