http://dealbook.nytimes.com/2011/04/18/j-j-synthe…

Anybody have any clue whose working on this deal.

Having read a couple of articles on it, I have a strong feeling its BAML, MS & Citi. Could be wrong! If anybody has better info, could you please share it? thanx.

I have last minute interviews coming up with a healthcare division of a fucked up BB and a boutqiue so I am trying to read up on some of the major deals going through lol.

JNJ has a corporate development group at each of their 200+ companies and an internal treasury group at corporate. They have in house tax professionals, lawyers, M&A directors, and a host of other professionals. From time to time they have been known to consult banks, prestigious law firms, and consulting companies. While I am sure a corporate in-house team could handle this deal, I hear from friends that the company stretches you out ... hence the external help.

The real kicker would be if UBS handled the deal and delegated all the work to their US offices because they were busy with another deal. Whereby their prestige is restored and their bonuses will feed the hungry and deprived bankers in New York and Connecticut.

hahaha yea that fucked up BB just got mentioned in this thread..either way it'll be hard 2 believe tht UBS was working on it. i heard their rainmakers left
