Job application submitted after the deadline... Would it be considered?
Hi all,
I made a terrible mistake where I submitted my job application for a full-time IBD position after the deadline on the bank's career website. The deadline of the application was on Sept 7th 11:59pm. I opened the application at 11:55ish, and submitted my application on Sept 8th 00:30am.
Would the system just automatically screen out my application because it was submitted after the deadline? After the submission, I received an e-mail that the application is complete and has been filed in their system.
If it's still up, then it's still up. If they didn't specify a timezone, then perhaps the deadline is when the day is completely over. In any event, I don't think any firm would let a qualified candidate go because of some stupid deadline at less than an hour.
