JPM Healthcare VS PJT M&A
Sorry for the millionth version of this post but this is a very big decision for me and I've been going back and forth for a while.
My interests rely on healthcare and my end goal is to end up at a healthcare focused GE/PE firm. I know JPM has a strong reputation in HC, but PJT pays better + seems to be more prestigious. I would also be exposed to healthcare deals at PJT but definitely not as much as I would at JPM.

JPM’s top in the HC space and PJT is a also a top shop overall, but not for HC. But if you want to do more M&A, get a lot of reps in and gain more technical exposure, go with PJT. If you just want to learn as much as possible about the HV industry, go with JPM.
Does JPM HC run their own M&A models? If not would prob go PJT
lol, this isn't how product groups work anywhere. It's not like coverage just hands off the project to M&A and disappears.
Obviously depends on the project but for something like biotech, it's pretty rare for M&A to do anything besides the process work.

This should be a no brainer given your interest in HC. Go to JPM HC.. HC is one of the industries that have lots of nuances, and JPM HC will best position you for any HC related exit oops. PJT doesn’t really have any presence in the HC space
This is incorrect. They poached JPM’s head of EMEA HC and have done almost all of Novartis’ and GSK’s deals in the last few years. In the U.S. they had the blockbuster Abbvie/ Allergan and Pfizer/ Upjohn deals. The team in the NY office has dedicated juniors who only work on HC deals.
Just learn to read a healthcare M&A league table man.. PJT can’t even compete with CVP in the US let along JPM
JPM Healthcare for sure here. Sector knowledge matters a lot more than technical skills when it comes to growth funds
How about when it comes to traditional LBOs? Then is it more about technical skills?
