JPM LatAm M&A and other LatAm groups

Can anyone provide any insight into JP Morgan Latin America M&A group and other relevant Latin America front office groups on the street. I've read on here that the only down side of LatAm groups is that it may be a bit harder to land PE placements than traditional groups, but since it is so hard to get into PE anyways and the odds are against you then you shouldn't let that discourage you unless you had other offers like MS M&A etc. Also read that hours are less than traditional groups, not much less, but enough to where you could have time to go to the gym 4 times a week and still get 5.5-6 hours of sleep. I would be a lateral hire so PE is most likely out of the question for me.

Another thing that I am thinking about is that although I envy and look up to some of the analysts that are currently doing IBD, I don't necessarily look up to the more senior bankers as I'm not sure that I would want to be a career banker. This is why I'm pursuing the CFA and am trying to focus on equity research and AM roles, but some of these LatAm positions wouldn't be a bad place to start.
