Hi all,
New to the site and wanted some opinions on whether to take IBD at JPM for a summer analyst position or Evercore for the same position. Can anyone speak comparatively regarding culture, hours, pay, exit opps, personal development and deal flow for the London office?

Evercore is still finding its feet in London. Go with JPM.

Yes, but you should decide if that's what you want compared to the more established rep of a BB. Also consider that since JPM is larger and his been active longer there will be a larger network of ex-JPM analysts that you can reach out to at PE funds and the like.
JPM>EVR by far imo. The only things Evercore does better than JP is pay (as any boutique) and the small tight-knitted teams. Met some really cool guys at both.

JPM>EVR. JPM has usually a better brand name, some funds only hire from GS/MS/JPM therefore you'd be in a top spot to be at JPM.
A Partner at a large European PE firm told me that boutiques are for career bankers where are BBs are for exits opps.
