Jumping from industry to banking.

Hey guys,

I'm graduating in May with a Finance degree from a non target and ~ a 3.9 GPA. Unfortunately I didn't receive any offers during the fall and am wondering where to go from here. My goal is to get into energy banking and was wondering what WSO thought of going from an entry level financial analyst position at a mid sized exploration company to an analyst position in energy IB. I'm assuming that this kind of move is very rare, and it would be more likely that I would have to go Industry job ---> MBA or MSF ---> Banking.
