Just found out I was my group’s least favorite intern

Don’t mind my title but I was an intern virtually last year and I just started full-time a few weeks ago. Found out today that the group I ended up with, my first choice, ranked me the lowest of every other intern last year. I honestly don’t know how to perceive that. Why did I get the offer? Do I have a chance in the group?

who cares dude if you got the offer you were good enough. nobody cares about the intern ranking we just throw it down

Don't know much about the ranking process, however could be that they didn't really hate any of the interns and it was a marginal difference. You just happened to be placed last in that pecking order.

if you don't mind me asking, how did you find out? like was there a document with the ranking somewhere or did you just find out by word-of-mouth from a senior banker / colleague?
