"For I am a sinner in the hands of an angry God. Bloody Mary full of vodka, blessed are you among cocktails. Pray for me now and at the hour of my death, which I hope is soon. Amen."
on regards to this thread: there is a really good one from a guy who was at KKR. He lists the main feeder, incl GSTMT and MS M&A...
I'm talking about liquid. Rich enough to have your own jet. Rich enough not to waste time. Fifty, a hundred million dollars, buddy. A player. Or nothing.

The three associates I know there are from GS Industrials, BX M&A, and Citi (forgot which group).
There is no "biggest feeder." KKR doesn't favor one top group over others, and no megafund only interviews from "top groups". During recruiting I saw people from BAML, UBS, Perella, etc. at megafund interviews with me.
There really aren't feeder groups. If you're good and at a semi-reputable bank, you'll get your fair share of interviews at top funds and at that point, bank and group don't really matter.
That being said, here's where the class that just joined out of banking came from for PE group in NYC office:
GSTMTGS Nat Res
GS Consumer & Retail
EvercoreCenterview
And here's last year's NYC office PE class:
GSTMTGSTMTGS Nat Res
HL Restructuring

Wow now I feel stupid for giving a serious answer.
He wasn't kidding, although with that background there's a better shot with Carlyle.

GS TMT/FIG, MS M & A, BX R & R & M & A. Cant think of any other groups at BB feeding into KKR. Lazard for EB.

Why the interest KKR in particular?
Yup, this is true. GS TMT, BX M&A and CITI M&A/TMT have placed in the past few years
