lack of experience
Hi all,
a bit about myself.
1st year analyst at a well known boutique having an industry focus
started this year around june
However, as much as i like the industry i cover, i am kinda scared for my lack of modeling experience.
To be honest, all i did regarding to modeling is during training, for a potential buyside pitch (accretion/dilution), a couple sellside (comps and dcf). Then I am on 4 live deals, 2 being private placement and 2 other being sellside M&A - did the pitch, operating model, cim, then due diligence etc
Don't think the theme would change much in the next year or two unless we land a buyside assignment (which could be possible, we have a couple bakeoffs coming up for companies that we have good relationships with)
Is anyone else in the same boat? Just kinda wondering what kind of exp you guys get out there and if i am an outlier or something.
Thanks
aren't you only like 3-4 months in? chill out dude
yeah..dont think that this might change immediately though because i kinda know what our pipeline looks like so just wondering if other analysts are experiencing the same.
you're on 4 live deals and you did the operating model for each one...i think you're doing fine
thanks for the comments.
