LatAm/Emerging Markets - Thoughts?

I'm currently an associate at a MM bank sitting on a G10 rates trading desk in Charlotte. I'm comfortable at my current position ($$$) but i'm in need of a change. My mother tongue is Spanish and i've always felt like i can succeed in any type of job that deals with latam markets (whether it be sales, banking, trading, etc.)I saw a few associate openings at a couple of BBs in NYC for ECM and DCM desks. I'm interested in applying but would really like to get some input and overview of what these desks are all about. If anyone can shed an ounce of light, that would be greatly appreciated.Thank you!!!
