Lateral Analyst Comp negotiation
I’m going to a decent MM shop with big balance sheet. Think MacCap / Truist / BMO as a 2nd year analyst, they pay bonus in Summer and I will be joining in Feb after bonus at my current firm is paid. Can I negotiate to have full 6 month bonus rather than 4 months? And, should I ask for some sort of signing bonus?
Bump
Is this Truist? Do you have a signing bonus clawback at your current firm?
I got offer at 2-3 firms that are similar and same tier as the banks that I have listed. No clawback at my current firm, the only firm that I know who does that is Jefferies.
You’ll unlikely be able to negotiate anything at the analyst level. Sign on / moving bonus should be standard. Not sure why they would pay for you for 2 months of work you didn’t do for the stub bonus but you can ask HR. The answer is probably no as pay and policies on this are probably pretty standard on how they do things
What is market standard for lateral analyst sign on bonus? Assuming I don’t have any bonus clawback at my current firm?
