Lateral Season, let's talk

Hi fellow Monkeys, I heard that Jan to March is usually the big lateral season. What are your thoughts about it? Are you seeing changes/openings in your groups?

I'm a 1st year analyst, at a regional boutique in NYC, trying desperately to upgrade.

Starting to see a few people here or there leaving early for immediate start date buyside opportunities.

@make definitely an astute point about the Jan to March time period for lateral hiring. as a december grad, its hard to make that move without a little bit more experience under my belt. but i've also found people to be much more receptive to networking calls/conversations. compelling enough reason to consider those looking to make a move down the line to consider reaching out now as opposed to late september/early october.

Excited to hear where you land bro!
