Can anyone provide an updated view or some new insight on Lazard LA's office? Seems like they've undergone some major changes over the past few years.

Career Resources
I don't work in the Lazard LA office, but can provide some insight. The office lost its head to JPM in early 2020 and one of its rainmakers on the A&D side to PWP earlier this year. The office still has 2 MDs on the A&D side and brought in a media/gaming MD in mid-2020, and while it's definitely taken a pretty significant hit from the departures, it'll survive. The A&D MDs focus more on MM sell-sides, while the media/gaming MD does really well in the video-game space. Culture in the office is great from what I've heard, with the A&D side more relaxed and casual, and the interactive media side a bit more buttoned-up.

How big of a hit to Lazard LA do you think losing him will be? I thought Michael was the A&D head, although obviously you're more familiar than I am about the strength of the 2 current MDs and former MD of Laz A&D.
Still a strong practice, but they definitely took a hit losing him. From a junior perspective, not many better people to work with than him.
