Lazard vs PJT (London)

What does the comparison Lazard vs PJT (London) reveal? From reading old WSO posts, the three EBs seemed to be ranked more or less on a similar level but I'm here for the intricate details. I'm more interested in Lazard vs PJT because the old posts often compare Lazard and Rothschild but not the former two.

Would be amazing to hear about deal flow, working hours, comp., culture, colleagues and etc., from current and former WSO monkeys who work(ed) at the two firms.

With thanks as usual!

Thanks for your input on my reading ability - good to feel young again. What makes you say Rothschild? From what I heard, Lazard is a very close competitor; it seems Rothschild trumps Lazard/PJT in terms of deal volume but all else is similar.

We're significantly stronger than PJT in London in terms of deal flow and exits, although PJT's comp is materially higher. I'm not sure how PJT's culture is, but the culture here is pretty buttoned-up (which I personally enjoy) and hours are as you'd expect for a London banking group with good deal flow (aka it's pretty sweaty but not exceptionally bad).

Stronger in what exactly? Hope you refer to M&A only

Also, as an analyst at pjt you get the chance to work across both rssg and m&a, which is very valuable in terms of learning and exits opps into HFs and special sits funds
