Learning VBA worth it?
Comp Sci major working at a MM shop. Excel seems clunky compared to code. Would learning VBA make sense in IB or would it just confuse people looking at my models because they want to understand what I’m doing. Would appreciate hearing from people who have used VBA or know of someone who has. Thank you!
It’s definitely helpful in certain occasions. Depending on the size of the shop and how technologically literate the firm is, automating processes is a value add. Also, if you’re a comp sci major you should be able to pick it up fairly quickly since it’s an easier language.
