Leaving <1 yr if recruiter contacts you?
Hey All, Just want to get your thoughts on a potential opportunity. Currently working as a senior associate and have <1 year at my current bank (but longer than 6 months). A recruiter (internal recruiter for the Company) contacted me to gauge my interest in a potential opportunity that would be both a title increase and a pay bump (base salary). The job is also located exactly where I want to live long term (I'm not there now) and the job is more exciting than my current one (in terms of exits and knowledge gained/industries covered). I've been at my previous positions for ~ 2 years each, but if I was to take this up, I would be here less than 1 year. Has this happened to you before? Do you think this will be an issue later on? What are your thoughts here. The biggest thing giving me reservations is the length of employment at my current bank. Thanks in advance.
I don’t see any issue taking it assuming you’d stay at the new gig for 2-3 years minimum. I would say to go for it, especially since you’ve been approached.
