Leerink Exit Opps 2024

Seeing that Leerink has been mentioned a lot recently and not in a good way, does anyone have any insights on exit opps in 2024 specifically in the pharma group? Would love to get any color on what exits have looked like post-svb at an analyst level. Thanks!

Did some research on LinkedIn for their 2021 analyst class. Looks like sous-chef at an obscure NYC deli is a popular path. Also saw a few male nurses coming out of the pharma group. Interesting choice there. All in all, buyside exits are looking pretty bleak unless you want to work in the deeper depths of the lower middle market with senior investment professionals who like to beat their juniors with blunt objects.

Did some research as well and have picked up on the same themes. Did a networking chat with an associate who I thought was still at the firm, but actually has exited and is now a magician/entertainer at children's birthday parties. Said he had a buddy from his analyst class that he actually had caught up with that morning who is a bagger at whole foods. Not sure if this is representative of the bank as a whole, but definitely have an eerie feeling...

Common exits include the tear-collection farm and InstaCart shopper. (Also waterboy seems possible, if effort to recruit is put in ahead of time)

Jokes aside - LMM/MM PE is possible if you have M&A experience
