Lehman M&A

Does anyone have a clear understanding of how Lehman's M&A group is structured? It's kind of confusing, it seems like they have a group of core M&A analysts for special products and then the M&A bankers are assigned to a specific coverage group and sit with them.

Basically I want to know whether it would be better to try and get into Lehman's M&A group vs. one of their top coverage groups (Comm/Media, Retail).

Thanks!
