Leveraging CRA Summer Internship to IBD

I come from a non-target, state school, 3.86/4 GPA and consider myself EXTREMELY fortunate to be able to intern with one of the Big 3 this summer as a Sophomore. Rarely do students from my school make it into CRA, let alone IBD. I worked my butt off and I'm happy to have made progress. However, CRA is not necessarily where I want to end up and want to go into the IBD direction. I understand that it's relatively easier to get into IBD post-CRA experience, but can anyone attest to this? Does anyone have experience with moving from CRA to IBD or any other advice?

My goal would be to obtain an IBD internship for next summer but I don't really know where to begin. Should I be reaching out to recruiters during my CRA internship and visiting the BB's during lunch and take tours? Is that even allowed? I've been doing my research and all I can really find is Full Time post undergrade CRA to IBD is quite common, but I haven't found much for interns.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
