Like Finance But Love Startups

I'm currently a sophomore going through recruiting at a semi-target thinking I will likely end up at a MM IB in T2 city (CHI/CLT) but obviously still applying for BB in NYC. I know that I like finance and think that banking is a good place to start my career if I want to go to PE/Corp Dev but I really think in the mid/long term I would love to end up out west working for a startup in either a finance role or potentially strategy/product (or maybe even founder if I really grow some balls). Is there a path from MM IB -> CFO/VP of Financial Development at a startup in a reasonable amount of time? Am I better off moving to Silicon Valley and trying to find a job as a financial analyst?

FWIW I recognize my thoughts may be affected by the pressure of recruiting and I might change my mind when I hit the desk and realize banking or PE is my calling in life. This is just where my thoughts are now
