Likelihood For Lateraling Office Locations

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any insight on the protocol or even the likelihood of incoming first-year analysts switching office locations. To give context, I will be working at a BB in SF this upcoming 2023 fall and have recently been interested in potentially relocating to the NY office instead. I realize that it usually takes a year to potentially switch office locations for the same firm; however, I wanted to see if anyone had any firsthand experience with this process and if you recommend that I talk to my recruiter from HR to see if switching locations before the full year of being a full-time analyst is possible. I'm not sure if I will be frowned upon internally to switch office locations since I recruited for SF specifically, but I'm just curious to see if this is an option worth exploring and how feasible it is. Any insight is much appreciated and thank you so much!
