Linkedin UPGRADE

I was browsing Linkedin and was curious to know whether upgrading my account will be any good? They say that when you InMail someone you are guaranteed to get a response....is this true? Has anyone tried this and found good use of it.

Thanks.

I recently signed up for the $25/mo... not sure it really offers anything... what I'd like to see is a way (and it may be that I just do not know how to do this) is a way to see all the connections to a 3rd... e.g. right now I can see that my 1st connection (Jane) connects me to a 3rd (John) through "John's Connections" but I can't see that person...

LinkedIn's pricing does not cater to an entry level job seeker. You've got other, much stronger avenues to job opportunities. Exhaust those before you start paying for LinkedIn.

I actually upgraded to executive for 1 month (99$) - it gave me access to 25 InMails. This was an easy way to gain contacts to alumni from 25 different groups, and after talking to them you get bounced around and referred even more. Although it is expensive, it is all worth it if it potentially leads to a full time offer. In addition, more people are exposed on the search bar if you have a premium account vs. basic.
