listing transaction exp on resume (revealing co. names)
Hey,
I work at a GS/MS/JPM/DB type firm. A q - in my investment banking CV, can I list the names of the companies involved in the 'selected transaction experience' section? Or do I have to keep it ambiguous, like F500 Energy co. or F100 high-tech co., etc..
Not sure if this is supposed to be classified or not.
If the deal has been closed, it is fair game - the information is public. If the deal is in the works, the information is private, and you should not mention the companies in particular, but rather "F500 Energy Co." etc.
This is the correct answer.
Do NOT disclose anything non-public. You will get dinged for this.
