If you go the "traditional" route of BB, big 4, MBB, etc., then you will competing with the likes of those candidates. You will need to stand out in other areas (e.g., undergrad credentials (GPA, school, major), extracurriculars, GMAT, etc.).

It's easier to carve out a memorable story if you're different, IMO… but, I would focus more on doing what you want to do rather than what you think an ADCOM will want to see on your business school application. The most important thing is that you demonstrate success in your roles, have clear goals, and have metrics that fall under the distribution for your demographic.
