Logic Puzzle
I actually figured both of these out just as I was going to post it, but Ill post it anyways.
Can you figure out the next sequence and explain why?
I understand how the arrows move and the dot, but not the orientation of the triangle. Ie you cant find the orientation of what 2 or 3 will be just 4 and 5.
Also if you want another one: http://i.imgur.com/gBJq4.jpg
I figured out the answer but I would not be able to if I had to explain the reasoning between the dot size/space and the arrow size/orientation.
Any one have any recommendations on how to practice these with answers and explanations? Thanks!
What the correct answers: 1) B 2) A? I don't know how you would get the right answer without explaining it. Just look for patterns that would logically explain the movement of objects from slides 1 2 3 4.
two points 1. process of elimination is perfectly acceptable in logic puzzles. In the harder mensa problems, irrelevant changes/red herrings are common to slow you down 2. in this case, there is an explanation but if I was asking someone to do it and explain, person who gets it with minimal analysis (and is at a unique answer, not guessing among narrow choices) wins.
looked at each for 10-15s..C, D?
I have no clue.
Just look at where the right angle of the triangle is and you'll figure it out
1) B
At first I thought that the triangle rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise each picture with a 180 degree rotation from picture 2 --> 3 (or, inside box to outside). Using that logic, picture 5 would've had to be a triangle with the right angle at the lower right (longer side facing upward). Since that's not an option, the triangle outside the box must alternate every other picture, while the triangle inside the box may still rotate clockwise every other picture but it's unnecessary to know.
