Logistics Divisions

If you work in the logistics industry division, what tools do you use to show maps, routes, etc. I am asking especially for mapping the US (states, rivers, railways). Anything on that topic would be greatly appreciated.

Used to work in Logistics, and you need to give me something more specific than that.

Honestly we didn't make much use of maps whatsoever. It was more figuring something like this out:

1) get pickup driver quote 2) find cheap flight or linehaul (occasionally shipping container/railcar shit) 3) get delivery driver quote

Logistics isn't what it used to be I guess :-p

Maybe I am just asked to do busy work, so I wouldn't be surprised that you are right and mapping doesn't add much value.

I should clarify that I worked for a very large company (as far as logistics go), so we had a computer system with specialized rates specifically for us in it. This could very well be a different case than any other company,
