Would say most bankers hang out in the West, say kensington, marlyebone & mayfair. You can find a few (more junior) bankers in Shoreditch.

Would say in terms of clubs the best are:

  • Maggies (if you like to hang out with preppy GS guys)
  • Toyroom
  • Scotch
  • Mahiki (the old Bodo's) --> really a BAML hive
  • I personally really like Charlie's in Berkeley Street, Mayfair. Although the place is full with MS people, in particular the FIG team which is known for their uncontrolled behaviour

I usually try to avoid meeting too many other IBers, but like Mahiki, Libertine, Raffles. Why would you want to see other bankers on a night out? Are you trying to network your way from BO to FO?

I don't know... Yeah. Almost definitely yes.

I would wear a suit with your firm name and your full name, as the other IBers will be doing they same (it is what BB training programs teach during training). This is done in order to make sure they only speak to those worthy of their time.

Go to a couple clubs, if you don’t see name tags then the club is for peasants and leave. Also bring a dry erase board so you can network/communicate properly via writing on the board. Otherwise they won’t hear you over the loud music. Most IBers have a dry erase board that is fit to carry like a satchel. That is another good way of identifying them.

P.S. You’ll recognize People in IB who are lower tier if they aren’t wearing a fanny pack carrying their dry erase markers and eraser. This is something that gets them blacklisted from better firms occasionally so make sure to FU (fanny up).

"Where do IB professionals go?" wtf? You go to a club to have fun, not to network with guys..

Anyway, Clapham and Shoreditch you have more hipster/artsy/edgy clubs, Mayfair and Kensington are more high end and not really worth it if you don't have a table or know a promoter, and of course Soho which I'm not really sure what their style is, it's a bit all over the place. In the City there are some bar/clubs that are alright since you should be gazeboed by the time the club part starts anyway.

Personally I'd stick to the City (not on Saturdays obviously) and Mayfair, not such a big fan of Shoreditch and the likes.
