First full year after a 6 month stub? American bb or eb?

not an analyst myself but my I can confirm my friend's first year IBD bonus was £42k at a Bulge bracket

Figures of friends and myself from summer 2017 bonuses (all A2) fell in the below ranges: BBs: 36-45k EBs: 38-63k
Can obviously be higher as well as lower if including more banks & people, but these figures include 3 BBs for the first range and 4 EBs for the second.
