London ECM BB question

Hey guys,

Just got a couple of silly questions to ask. I will be interning in ECM at a BB this summer in London. Since I am new to WSO, and see day in and day out people say IBD, IBD, IBD I was wondering: Should (and this is very very conditional) I get a FT offer for next year at ECM (and having spent summer doing ECM I find it is not for me and I prefer another department), what would be the best ways to make itknown that I want to transfer to another desk (not sure if it would cause offense to tell my superior that after 6 months of working with them I do not really like the job that I signed up to do)
