London IBD - hiring analyst(s)

My firm is looking to hire an analyst or two so I'm being proactive here (and giving back to the community!) and seeing if there are any potential candidates on WSO.

The Firm Leading mid-market firm (client sizes typically 250-2,000m) growing quickly with good deal flow (40+ deals YTD, 50+ last year). Consistently #1 or #2 in league tables across corporate, research and trading in the mid & small cap.

The Job Analyst working as a generalist with exposure to all sectors, City based. Deal experience provided early on along with the usual pitching / ad hoc requests.

Work is split between corporate broking (i.e. servicing and winning retained clients) and transaction execution - more focus on deals at the analyst level.

Comp will probably be variable based on experience, but I expect in line with market. Don't expect a 9-5 - we start early but you probably won't be working till 2am (much).

Start date ASAP.

Requirements Bare Minimum * 2:1 achieved from top 10 university * Good social skills * Numerically literate * Interest in and knowledge of broader finance / equity markets * Proficient in PPT/XLS

Preferred / will greatly help chances * Experience in IBD whether it's an internship at a reputable house / BB or 6-18 months on the job and looking to move * Knowledge of Factset, potentially also Bloomberg / Fidessa * Knowledge of the Listing Rules / Takeover Code / AIM rules

If you're interested and meet the requirements let me know. I'll need to see a CV and probably meet you and have a think before passing your info on to the MDs. No promises of anything but a very good opportunity.

Cheers

(P.S. would be helpful if you came along to the WSO drinks on Thursday and we can have a beer or three)
