London - MS M&A vs. MS Media & Communications vs. CS Fin Sponsors

Hi Monkeys, I need some help deciding between off-cycle offers in London for the teams mentioned in the title. Met people in the teams and I can't say I prefer one more than the other. Looking for advice on the best team in terms of reputation, deal flow, exits, prestige etc.

Would be amazing if anyone has some inside information on the teams, otherwise, general advice is more than welcome.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot! I do feel lucky to be in a position to choose. I was leaning towards MS M&A as I think it's regarded as their top group in London, so it's nice to get some confirmation :-)

May I ask how you received group specific offers for the off-cycle at MS. Don't they usually give out general offers and have a placement process afterwards, just like the SAs?

My offer is generalist IBD, however I know the M&C and M&A teams very well and (rather presumptiously) assumed I have a good shot of landing one of those two.

The discussion is moot if I don't end up at either of those teams of course, but then I will likely take the Credit Suisse offer since I know I would be placed in Sponsors for the internship and that group is arguably better than all MS groups, apart from M&A, or maybe Healthcare.

If you knew the two teams very well, you wouldn't be asking this question, as you would know the differences between them.

Also, if you knew them very well I doubt you would burn several bridges by reneging last minute if you don't get desired team.

Finally, CS Sponsors "arguably" being better than all the other MS teams is an... interesting.. opinion.
