London Raymond James reputation
Hi all,
There isn't much information on Raymond James in the UK - both in terms of market reputation and culture. I was wondering if anybody could shed some light on:
- General reputation as MM investment bank. Especially compared to other MM banks such as Canaccord Genuity.
- Work/life balance and culture.
- Any sectors they are particularly strong in
Thanks very much in advance.
Up and coming. Has been expanding aggressively - as you can see via. LinkedIn in terms of headcount / junior hires. On the latter point, junior talent is pretty strong.
Rep in London is hard to say, but over time it will probably edge over Canaccord Genuity for certain sectors e.g. fintech.
Work/life - mixed depending on team, in line with other boutiques. Culture - can't really say, know someone there who enjoys it.
Again, sector strength at the moment - predominantly tech/fintech.
Know a couple of people there, from what I have been told:
- Pay is above market, analysts very well remunerated but they work for it
- Hours are brutal, team dependent of course but have heard it to be close to the higher end for hours in London. That said, good culture, if you can hack consistent all nighters
- Tech team is growing
