Long Term Industrials Outlook, Chicago Industrials

Ignore title, am analyst at MM bank. Want to do banking long-term and currently in healthcare, but find it hard to really understand the companies we work with or get that excited about. Interest in the space is important if you want to stick around as you'll need to develop industry perspectives etc

I'm pretty interested in Industrials, but I'm hesitant around making a jump - I get the sense HC is a better sector to be in long term for reasons like insulation from certain headwinds, constant innovation and funding in the place, i.e. HC will always be important to the economy. Whereas industrials, it seems like it's more cyclical right? and subject to macro headwinds or geopolitical factors. Or am I overthinking it, and it's a good spot to be a long-term banker?

What are good industrials groups in Chi? Obviously Baird has a strong practice, but is it still as bad as the WSJ article?
