My name is Taylor Christy and I am an economics major at UNCG in North Carolina. I am in my junior year and have a 3.21 GPA. I am apart of UNCG's Bryan School of Business. I am looking for an investment banking internship for the summer but I'm sure all of the big banks in New York and L.A. have hired. That being said, I am wondering if anyone is aware of investment banking internships anywhere in the country that are still open.
I am in consideration for a retail banking internship at a local bank, but I understand that a IB internship looks much better, so I'd much prefer an IB internship over a retail banking internship.
I spoke with a Career Services worker today and they said that of the options I gave them (IB in the big cities, IB anywhere, wealth management/commercial banking, retail banking), the typical hierarchy for a desired internship goes:
IB in the big cities IB anywhere Wealth management/commercial banking Retail banking
Can anyone confirm this?
