Looking for technicals?

What banks generally put more emphasis on technicals over fit? I like the really technical interviews because I'm just talking about stuff that I'm interested in.

Fit interviews seem to be too much about regurgitating lines that I've prepared. I'm good with people, but I'm not the best at spouting out rehearsed lines and just telling them what they want to hear. I'll still do it, but I feel that I have an advantage in the technical side - what banks generally look for that?

Houlihan's interviews are known for being highly technical as well. That being said, you're still going to get the 'fit' questions everywhere. One reason banks tend to focus on fit questions over technical is because they know banking isn't overly difficult and everything you'll need to know you can quickly learn on the job. Keep in mind, each interviewer is different as well, so picking banks based on 'typical interviews' might not be the best way to go about applying / interviewing. Best of luck.

Thanks for the advice nystateofmind. I'm not bad at behaviorals, and I'll still be applying everywhere. I just wanted to know so I can adjust my preparation accordingly, as well as figure out where I have the best shot.
