Lord Vader Takes Silicon Valley

If I didn't know better, I'd say Bloomberg's Stephanie Ruhle doesn't like Lloyd Blankfein. While the interview doesn't rise to the level of hilarity that her Q&A with David Tepper did, she does manage to get in some cheap shots on the Sith Lord. Examples: "How bad did it suck to lose the Facebook deal to Morgan Stanley?" and my personal favorite, "Apple CEO Tim Cook will be sitting with the Obama family at the SOTU. Why aren't you?" To his credit, Lloyd just grins and bears it and actually turns in a pretty solid interview. He makes some really good points about deficit reduction and he clarifies that he ain't going anywhere when asked what he's going to do after Goldman with a simple, "That's just how I do...". Enjoy:

Agree. Aside from the "doing God's work" quote, he's lent a lot of credibility to the industry in the public's eyes. ....and in our eyes, the "doing God's work" quote is just golden.

His particular beard look terrible but I'll give him credit for breaking rank with the schoolboy persona and dress of most bankers. I hope this becomes a trend, I'd like to think that being a man isn't a crime anymore. I'm all for women getting theirs, hey girls, party on...just sick to death of the metrosexual (aka, semi gay) dress code and behavior expected of us dudes.

Seriously, Lloyd is so effing likeable. No matter WHAT people throw at him, he keeps his cool, smiles, and says something that's almost charming. I actually envy that trait given I have a temper.

Not sure what industry you're looking at, but most bankers don't dress anywhere near metrosexual. Unless by metrosexual you mean wearing suits that fit and being clean shaven.

if you're bald, you should be required to grow a beard on wall st so you don't try to win clients looking like a walking, talking penis. bravo, lloyd

Remember, once you're inside you're on your own. Oh, you mean I can't count on you? No. Good!

ZevakaSo with all this facial hair he tries to look like Bernanke, right?

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Ruhle: Would you ever consider running for Treasury secretary? Bankfine: No, no one trusts me.
Well at least he knows, lol. I also kinda wish she worded the FB question "So how much better do you think you could have fucked investors than MS?"
