Low tier investment banking VS Private Credit
I am in the UK and have internship offers form a low tier investment bank (not m&a) or a good private credit shop. Investment bank does returns, private credit does not. What would be better for grad recruiting into IB or buy side.
How low tier IB are we talking about? Like tier 3? Tier 2?
Quite low, balance sheet bank, good in debt and lev fin
I presume you are referring to MUFG/Mizuho. You will be able to re-recruit for pretty much everywhere for FT with either of those 2 names if you’d like to move up.
Most banks prefer IB experience over buy-side unless the buy-side firm is elite like BX, Apollo, KKR etc
