M&A boutique EU
Can anyone provide me a list (or even just a few names) of very small / local boutiques anywhere in EU, better if in London?
If they dont have a structured recruiting process even better, as I am a first year univeristy student from a target trying to get a first exposure in the summer through an unpaid internship (even just a few weeks would be great)
Alternatively, any suggestion about PE shops / HF at which I might have a shot are welcome!

Thanks for the reply, BUT I already found those lists and they include elite boutiques, top HF and PE shops...
As a 1st year student the maximum I can aim to are very small no-name shops...

May I suggest a different opportunity? As it will be hard for you to get into a buyside shop as 1st year Student, it might be better to gain some relevant experience by joining one of the Big 4 in their valuation Business or even Audit. That way you will gain valuable accounting experience and could leverage that into a IB internship at the end of your second year. Also aim at the spring weeks of the Major IBs
Already applied for spring week. But is there any opportunity for 1st year students at Big4? I can't find it...
Also, is it better to reach out to the email you findon the web site, or sending a message on linkedin to someone who works there? Because I have been told many time "unfortunately we don't have any programme for 1st year..."...
I don't know where youre from, but in Germany, quite a few 1st year Students go to the Big 4 and later on to IBs for a second internship. Maybe thats more difficult in other countries.. But then I would try to find other, smaller Audit firms and try to get exposure, or maybe different departments at smaller Banks.
Regarding conacting People on LinkedIn, I doubt that you will be successful, especially, when the Office already told you that they dont have any opportunities for 1st years, unless you already have some Connection to the guys you want to contact.
Theres a few boutique IB shops in Spain as well, focused in Madrid and Barcelona. Might be tough to break into them though as they are typically pretty competitive and filled with kids with connections/from top-schools (and native Spaniards)
