M&A under threat
Dear fellow inv. bankers,
I’m at a Euro M&A boutique and the market’s turning uglier by the day… live deals are dropping like flies, the “ready-to-launch” ones are getting iced, and there’s zero fresh dealflow in the pipe.
To give you some context — under normal conditions, each analyst is juggling 3–4 live deals, 1–2 zombies, and 2–3 pitches at any given time. This past month? We’re down to maybe 1–2 live (barely breathing) and a couple of pitches.
For those of you still grinding in M&A — are you seeing the same slowdown? How bad is it on your end? Should we be sounding the alarm?
The alarm has been ringing, sorry if you’re late to hear it
