It's important to take some of the advice on this forum with a pinch of salt.
Mac as you said is strong in infrastructure across the board, very strong in APAC, have a solid MM presence in EMEA and are growing in the US. It's a solid brand for IB. It's not the best, but it is far from being the worst. The fact is you got an IBD placement at a recognised brand that isn't in a shithole of a position. You should be proud of that. A lot of the guys shitting on Mac are immature and probably have barely worked in IB themselves.
