Macquarie Intern Pay

Seems like they're paying 110k annualized and are also paying time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours. Can any past interns confirm if it's encouraged to log overtime at the firm and if anyone ever asked them about hours or told them to stop working/logging overtime?

Are you sure they’re paying time and a half? Last year I heard they were only paying 0.5x.

On the offer letter says "time and a half", saw that data point last so I wanted to double check that it isn't some kind of fluke or if it's cause they don't expect me to record any type of overtime.

If you work overtime you log it - maybe don’t log insane numbers where it’s clear you’re either lying or inefficient but Nobody there is going to call you out for putting in extra hours or expect you to work overtime and not get paid. I probably logged about 50-65 on average

Was an intern in the NY office this past summer, a lot of us also had confusion if it was 1.5x or 0.5x. Can confirm it was in fact 0.5x for every hour worked past the standard 40 hours a week.

Logging hours accurately is encouraged, although groups with little deal flow (I was in MAM personally and it was a bit of a mix) had no trouble letting you know to leave early. Since you seem to be interning with MacCap you should be fine as I don't remember any of my friends having issues logging their hours.
