Macquarie London 2019

Hello Monkeys, Wondering if anyone can provide some insight into Macquarie in London. WSO seems to give a very varied opinion and their pubic perception seems to have been constantly shifting since 08. How do they rank in the London market and what are people's opinions as to their growth potential and future outlook? Understand the strong infra and principle investing focus and their somewhat unique business model and curious as to how they are perceived for buy side recruiting / lateralling to BB's? tHaNkS

Seen people move to BBs from there. They are Strong in PUI and investing in Infra but that's about it. They have a page listing their deals, you'll see that they barely do any deals in areas other than these ones. Not sure why you'd want to exit their principle investing business but you could go to any fund investing in similar products ie pension funds, SWF, infra funds quite easily.

Any insight on the feasibility of moving from principal investing to more standard PUI M&A? Or is the role too niche to have that kind of flexibility?
