Infrastructure and Energy Group. Macquarie Capital (IB division) is divided into IEG and the other industry groups. Within IEG there’s IEG Advisory (broad infra and energy M&A team), Infrastructure Projects & Principal (merchant banking-ish, to my understanding), and Green Investment Group (renewables team developed from a recent acquisition).

They were supposed to tell us last week and had the audacity to postpone again. During reviews I was told I was on track for an offer. Now I'm 4 weeks behind on FT recruiting and am feeling extremely discouraged

Honestly, they're the type of company to tell you positive shit the entire time you're there so you can keep grinding it out and doing the work for them, and even during your reviews they tell you like to keep up the good work you've been doing so you really believe that you're doing the right thing only to not give you an offer in the end because that's really how worthless you are to them. Everyone in HR should be fired for power tripping all over the interns and all the MDs and workers that think it's okay to keep fooling all their interns like this and telling them like "can't wait to see you in the office next year" need to die

Like that guy said above "culture" there's no culture at Macquarie except a lying ass culture to maintain a front that they're an amazing company to work for but once you're actually in you realize it's a total shitshow that's totally dog eat dog
