Making errors even after checking
All, I’m an Analyst - 2 and can’t seem to reduce my human errors down to 0% even if I try my hardest at checking. I’d think I checked everything properly - printed things out, checked with a highlighter etc l. - and still, one human error would slip through. E.g. highlighting the wrong value as the max value.
Any thoughts on this?
Slow down your work the first time around. Will make a lot less errors and they’re easier to catch bc you’ve spent more time on the deliverable
I’m not necessarily trying to make less errors though - I’m trying to make NO human errors.
Sometimes 99% is still not good enough in my team, and that 1% can be material when compounded.
No work product is ever perfect the first time around. My VP makes slides and j need to make edits, I make slides and my Associate has to tweak. There’s a reason multiple people look before MD
