Making friends/living in a new city?

How did you make friends as interns/first year analysts? This summer I’ll be working in a LCOL city that I’ve never lived in before, and I won’t know very many people. The banking presence in the area is pretty small, and most of the interns in my office grew up in the city/already have social circles. I know a few of the other interns, but I wouldn’t say I’m close with them.

I’ve interned out of town before and I was okay with sticking to myself for a few months, but with how terrible my hours are going to be I honestly just want to make some friends so I don’t end up completely depressed. For those of you who’ve been in a similar situation, what advice do you have?
