Management rotation program with small company - exit opportunities?
Hey all, I am a senior at a top undergrad school, and I have been looking to get into the finance or consulting business. I've been applying all year, but unfortunately no luck. I am also an international student, so recruiting has been tough for me since a lot of companies are not willing to sponsor candidates.
Anyway I got a job offer today from a growing, venture-backed produce distribution company, for a management rotation program that they have. I am considering whether or not I should accept this position. My main concern is the exit opportunities - will I be able to get a job in finance or consulting in a year or two? I will be competing against people who have done finance or consulting right out of college, so I'm worried that this might not be the best long-term strategy for me. I don't want to be stuck in the produce or food industry for the rest of my life haha.
Any help would be appreciated!
